Sometimes you get days that are crazy busy and last Friday was one of those days. It started with me running in the rain to catch a train to Brighton and ended with me in London holding an award.
So the day started with me going down to Brighton for a work project where I spend the day at the beautiful Brighton Dome where I also got to have lunch by Brighton Royal Pavilion.
After a quick dash up to London and my hotel for the night which was provided for by Premier Inn and a huge thank you to them for being so generous. If you're looking to stay in London with easily routes around London then I'd recommend the London Victoria Hotel.
It was then time to put on a suit which is a rare thing for me but I thought I'd better make an effort. The awards show in question was the annual MAD Blog Awards which is run by the brilliant team at Tots100 and it's hosted at the stunning Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington. For the past few weeks I have been nervous about attending but as soon as I arrived I relaxed and really enjoyed the evening. The food was amazing and the awards ceremony was brilliant until that moment when it's announced 'the next award category is photo'...
It was at that moment that the most amazing thing happened, my name was announced as the winner of the Best Blog Photography.
When I went to collect the award I was so bedazzled by Dr Ranj's suit that I had no idea what to say and just basically said thank you. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has liked my photos, linked up to My Sunday Photo and just been supportive and awesome.
On top of this there are a few people I want to say a special thank you to. Firstly Annie from Mammasaurus who is friendly, welcoming and inspirational. The next person is the utterly amazing and friendly Lucy from Capture by Lucy, Lucy inspires me everyday with her beautiful blog and Instagram feed and always goes out of her way to help. The next few people are people who I've become friends with through blogging and I know I can bounce ideas off and they'll be honest and tell the truth they are The Boy and Me, Dad Who Blogs and Dad Blog UK a massive thank you to all these people.
