Bournemouth Westcliffe Premier Inn Review

There is nothing more the girls love that staying somewhere new as this usually means they get to sleep in the same room and sometimes all in the same room. As we were going down to Cornwall for the week we decided to head down Friday after school and stay over to break the trip up for them and thought a Premier Inn would be a good idea. Having never stayed in one before we didn't know what to expected but in the past we had stayed in a Travelodge which didn't go down too well as the family room involved Aly sleeping on a sofa bed which she didn't enjoy so for a Premier Inn we were hoping for a bit better.

The Premier Inn we settled on was Bournemouth Westcliffe which for us is in-between us and Cornwall for it was ideal. As we were travelling straight from school we knew we'd want dinner at the restaurant when we got there so we booked that up before we completed our booking.

By the time we'd got to the hotel it was about 6.45pm and we was greeted by a full car park, this wasn't looking good so I quickly ran into the reception and found a friendly member of the team who told me unfortunately the hotel has 100+ rooms but only 50 spaces but just across the road it was free parking on the road. To the hotels credit they gave me a map and explained it all to me and it really was only a 2 minute walk to a quite side road. If I had of got there earlier I'm sure I would have found a space and when I went down in the morning before breakfast I did manage to get a space in their car park.

Once inside the front desk team were very helpful and explained where we'd be having dinner and breakfast in the morning and if we needed anything 24 hours a day they'd be here. They also explained the Great Nights Sleep Guarantee - whereby if you don't have a great nights sleep they'll refund you the price of the room. So far the hotel looked clean and seemed very friendly.

Before we went to dinner we quickly went up to the rooms to drop the bags off and then we went straight to dinner which was still in the hotel complex. The restaurant staff again were very friendly and the service was quick and polite. There was lots to chose from for both the girls and us. The portion sizes for the girls we're very good and if you book the room, dinner and breakfast deal if works out very good value. In the price of the dinner you get the choice of a drink, main course and a dessert which is always a winner for us. No matter what demand we asked of the staff they delivered without fuss.

By the time we'd finished it was almost 8pm and everyone was ready for bed and now it was time to see the room we'd got. The booking was for a family room and having been to a few hotels in the past we knew what this usually meant.

What we were actually greeted with was something completely different. The room was very large and the room contained two single children's beds and one king size bed. You also got a choice of soft or harder pillows. The room was also equipped with most things you'd possibly need such as a hair-dryer, tea making facilities, TV and telephone.  The room was tidy, clean and smelt fresh. The room was pretty quite and although near what seemed a busy road you couldn't hear it.

As we've often found the girls can be pickles when all staying in the same room so I slept in the big bed with Aly and Laura slept in the smaller beds with Mia and it didn't take us long to all fall asleep and we didn't wake until 7am which is quite rare to get a lie in. Now it was time to test our the impressive looking shower. The bathroom was like new which isn't always the case in hotels what with them being used so often. The shower was amazing and lovely and powerful and very awakening. So far so good.

We all headed downstairs to breakfast and was greeted with such an amazing choice, everything you could think of they had including vegetarian sausages which you don't tend to get. The girls even had a full English along with just about everything else from yoghurts to a fruit salad. It was the perfect breakfast for the next part of our journey.

The check out was also quick and simple and again the front desk staff seemed to actually care and interested in the rest of our holiday.

Would I recommend Premier Inn? Without any shadow of a doubt.

Would we stay at another Premier Inn? In a heartbeat. The quality and standard of this hotel was far higher than a lot of the more 'expensive' hotels we've stayed in in the past.

One added bonus was at Premier Inn you got 30mins free Wi-Fi per day which was perfect for us but if you require more than this can be bought for just £3 for 24hours.

We was provided with one night accommodation, dinner and breakfast for the purpose of this review. Our opinion is honest and unbiased regardless offact.
