In my opinion one of the greatest things we have is the ability to travel around the World. If I had all the money possible I’d love to travel and experience lots of different things and see as many countries as possible.
Since the girls have come into our lives we’ve tried to travel with them a few times and this has mainly been in and around England but as they get older I’d love to take them on different adventures.
One thing I’d love to do is take the girls skiing. I think they’d love all the snow and I have a feeling that Aly will be a natural. As an added bonus the views and scenes would be amazing for photography. About 10 years ago my wife and I spend a few days in a ski resort and we loved it. The warm food, the views and the local community.
One of the top places in the World is Val d'Isere in France. One of the things I’ve learnt is that skiing can take it out of you and of course it’s cold so the place you stay in needs to be welcoming and friendly.
The family-owned and run Le Chardon Mountain Lodges have a selection of five luxury ski chalets in Val d'Isere which has 5 star food, amazing service and top quality accommodation. Looking at them they would make the perfect base and as this area has some of the best snowfall across the Alps, it makes for a brilliant ski destination. These chalets are built by skiers for skiers and you won’t be disappointed.
Both the girls have asked many times if we could visit the mountains and I too would love to give it a try.
Have you been skiing with children? Did they enjoy it?
