Muddy Walk #CountryKids

This year I made it one of my New Year's Resolutions to join in with Country Kids more so here is my first attempt of the year. I had made a promise to Aly and Mia that on Saturday we would make the effort to do out for a walk in the woods which is only 5 mins from us. With the girls dressed in their new wellies and coats we headed off in search of mud.

Now the woods are wet at the best of times but this was something else, I had a feeling that I would have to carry Mia for most of it but she was more than happy to walk and Aly of course wanted to walk through the muddiest parts...luckily she didn't fall over.

We didn't spot much wildlife apart from this little fellow.

Aly was very interested in all the green tubes and wanted to know what they were and why they were in the woods. And she seemed really interested in learning about the new trees and how the others had fallen.

We managed to stay out in the woods for about an hour and considering the girls walked through thick mud I think they done well and when it came to bedtime they went straight to sleep.
