Saal Digital Photo Book Review

Saal Digital is a name I've seen on social media a few times and when someone tagged me in a post of theirs to say they were looking for people to give their photo books a try I thought I'd reach out to them.

They said they'd be thrilled to give me a code to create my own photo book and give my honest impressions so here they are...

The photobooks that you can create have a whole host of different customisable options, from the amount of pages you can pick, the layout and also the physical size of the book.

The one I picked was 28 x 19 (A4 Landscape) as it seemed the perfect size for my photos. The price of this starts at £29.95. The choices are endless, from having a gift box supplied, padded, or a different type of finish to the front cover.

This will give you an idea of the prices for an unpadded photo book.

The easiest way to create a book using Saal is to download their software, it makes it really easy and gives you all the options. Each page you can edit as you wish, I tried a few different ones such as a full-page, half pages and 3/4 pages.

I only really used these templates to see how it looks for future projects. You can add text to pages much like I did on the front cover but I personally prefer the pages to just be about the photos.

Delivery came quickly in secure packaging and I was blown away with the quality. The photos on the pages seemed to come alive. In the photo book, two pages are glued together to give it more weight and a much higher quality feel. This is the sort of book that you could easily give to a client or family member and be super proud of it.
