These Boots are Made for Walking

This year as a family we're trying to get out a bit more and enjoy the fresh air. The other week we bought our annual family National Trust membership so the plan is to visit these every weekend and see what beauty can be found nearby that we never knew about.

This past weekend we visited Bodiam Castle which is actually only about 30 minutes down the road but it's a place we've never actually visited. We've also taken a few country walks in the local forest and also while on holiday in Cornwall we made sure we went for some beautiful walks which gave use views we'd never usually see.

Naturally my old tatty trainers are going to be suitable for walking especially when I usually go off the beaten track to try and get a photo, so the awesome people at Trespass sent me a pair of Rhone Leather Walking Boots to try out.

When I first saw these I thought they looked heavy and bulky but I was very surprised, they are light and very comfortable. I wore these the other day when we went to Bodiam Castle and it was a pretty hot day so I was expecting my feet to feel hot. These boots are waterproof and breathable, at the moment I haven't tested just how waterproof they are but I'm sure that will come.

Walking across the cobbles and ruins of the castle I never felt like I would lose my footing and I never wished I was wearing a different form of footwear. I have a feeling that these will get lots of wear over the next few months especially with some of the trips we have planned.

Head over to the Trespass website and take a look at their range of Men's Walking Boots

We were send these boots for the purpose of this post, all thoughts and opinions are our own
