Keeping Your House Safe Whilst on Holiday

One of the big things when going on holiday is the thought of 'is my house safe?' I'm pretty sure that's not just me. I'm pretty bad even when I just go to the shops and have to check that I've locked each door a couple of times.

Below is an infographic that has been put together and it raises some interesting facts and a couple of top tips. A few of these we do and we're lucky that we have family just over the road so they'll pop into our house a few times a week just to check on things.

With social media a major part of our lives it's important that people remember that pretty much everything is public so if you say you're off on holiday then everyone will know that your house will be empty.

For the past few years we've used timers in our house so lights will go on at certain times. A good way of putting people off is those automatic external lights. As soon as it comes on people will soon be put off.
