This week's podcast is about the new partnership tool on Instagram.
Over the next couple of weeks, you will start to notice on Instagram there will be a new “Paid partnership with” sub-header on posts and stories (where the location usually is). This is for when there is a paid partnership in place.
A few weeks ago Facebook rolled out something very similar so it was never going to be long before Instagram followed suit.
This week I wanted to talk about Unsplash and why I use it and why you should too.
I have just ticked over 4 million views on Unsplash and it seemed like the perfect time to talk about it. For those that don't know Unsplash is, it's a HD stock photography platform. It's completely different from the stereotypical stock photography sites.
For me there are two different types of collaborations, the first is working with brands and PR companies. This is a great way to build a relationship with brands and can be great from a monetary point of view.
It's important to get the terms from the off, what are you getting from this partnership? Links? Shares? Or just money? I've found if you accept a free campaign they'll never some back to you with an offer of money the next time.
