#MySundayPhoto - Quaint Lane

This week in Lewes it’s been their annual bonfire celebration, this is one of the largest bonfire events in the UK and people from all around the World come to visit.

On the morning after I thought I’d have a little walk around the town and up by the castle I came across this quaint looking lane.

So the end is near…

So the end is near…

I’ve made the decision to call an end to MySundayPhoto, it’s not an easy decision but after 5 1/2 years, almost 300 weeks I think the time has come.

I honestly can’t thank everyone enough for the support each and every Sunday. I wouldn’t change any of it but I’ve planned my Sundays around commenting, and now it’s time to move on to new projects.

Is there a better time to be a landscape photographer?

We’ve been lucky in Sussex with our weather, most days it’s been chilly but sunny and this has meant getting out with the camera is so much easier.

This is one of the walkways in the local woodland that I love taking photos of. This has it all, the rustic leaves, green in the trees and the blue sky background.

Last weekend Lewes held their annual Light Festival, this is where certain parts of the town is lit up. Buildings like the town hall, castle and a few houses are brightly decorated for 3 evenings during October.

I’ve hardly had any time to get out and take photos as we’re in the middle of moving this weekend. This was the only photo I’ve taken.

I’ve been working on this photo for a little while. I think I’m happy with it and it was edited using Aurora HDR2019. I love how clear the water looks and the drama in the sky.

About 15 minutes before I took this photo was taken it poured down with rain so the clouds were starting to break up.

#MySundayPhoto - A Different View

I've had a lensball for a while and I've hardly used it. I don't want to take a photo with my holding it so I've been balancing it on a bridge railing instead. This is in front of Harvey's Brewery which has featured many times but I think this gives it a different appeal.

#MySundayPhoto - The Calm

Something a little different today. This was taken on Lake Windermere, it was a single rock near the edge of the water and I thought it made an interesting subject.

This was a long exposure with an 10 stop filter on the front and whilst everything around was busy and hectic this felt calm. To take away any distractions I converted to B&W.
