The Story of Social Media

The Story of Social Media

In Brighton you really see some amazing pieces of street art. This one by a.pozas_art is brilliant, and tells the story of social media in today’s World.

I believe the actual piece is called ‘Always 0 love’. I know nothing about art but I love the way this makes you think and it means different things to different people.

The Narnia Maze

The Narnia Maze

Not a landscape today, instead a candid portrait.

Over the weekend we visited Tilgate Park where they currently have their Magical Christmas. Part of this includes a Narnia maze with live actors.

There were lots to see and do during the day but the maze was a highlight.

Komedia

Komedia

Street photography is something I don’t find that easy. I feel like eyes are on me and I just can’t get the look I’m after. I’m in a lucky position to be able to visit Brighton whenever I fancy and this gives me the chance to sharpen my skills.

Ride the Helter Skelter

Ride the Helter Skelter

Is there anything more iconic at a fun fair than a helter skelter?

This one is located towards the end of Brighton Palace Pier and when I managed to get a photo the whole place was empty.

The Last Leaf

The Last Leaf

Whilst out in the woods the other day it struck me just how few leaves are on the trees at the moment.

I thought this image was quite calming and liked the contrast between the leaf and trees behind.

When The New Sign Went Up

When The New Sign Went Up

Back in the Summer….oh that seems so long ago…the pier in Brighton changed their signs. Locally it’s always been known as Palace Pier but the previous owners changed all the signs to read Brighton Pier.

This didn’t sit right with a lot of people so when new owners came on board they decided to change the signs to read Brighton Palace Pier.

Walking in Windermere

Walking in Windermere

I've been working on this photo for a little while, I could never get it the way I wanted. I think I might have finally got there.

This is one of the foot paths up to a wonderful viewing point over Lake Windermere. There was a little bit of rain in the air which lifted the scene.

Selfie Lane

Selfie Lane

This amazing lane in Brighton is full of creative street art. It really is perfect if you want to take portrait photos or selfies. It’s often very quiet down here as it’s away from the main shopping area.

If you fancy it the location is Trafalgar Lane and you honestly won’t be disappointed.

Looking Like Christmas

Looking Like Christmas

Hands up who’s put the decorations up?

It seems like this was the weekend when lots of people got in the festive spirit.

This building is The Ivy in Brighton which looks timelessly classic.

Hidden Brighton

Hidden Brighton

Whilst walking around Brighton you see all sorts of little areas and lanes. I loved the colours leading down to the shops.

The problem at the moment in Brighton, much like lots of places is homelessness. Lack of jobs, lack of opportunities all play a part. It’s a sad part of life.

An Autumn Tunnel

An Autumn Tunnel

The final week of November, in 4 weeks time Christmas will all be over.

Oh this is a little private road nearby, it leads to a couple of secluded homes deep in the woods...now imagine if this scene was covered in snow.

Crazy Mouse

Crazy Mouse

All the fun of the fair, ok so technical it’s not a traditional fair but it’s still fun. The rides and entertainment at the end of the pier are brilliant but they also make so brilliant photos with their right bold colours.
