#MySundayPhoto - Alone with the Trees

This was a photo I took up on Ashdown Forest the other evening. It was completely peaceful and the whole time I was there I didn't see anyone else.

There was plenty of rabbits, birds and deer but no humans.

This was set to a long exposure with an ND filter, just to add a little more detail into the sky.

We've not had any rain here for about 50 days now and it was so dry on the forest.

#MySundayPhoto - Nutley Windmill

The other evening I planned on going to a new location for some photography. Right on the edge of the Ashdown Forest is this windmill that hardly anyone seems to know about.

Typically the day I visited they had some form of party going on so I had to be creative with my photography.

#MySundayPhoto - Taking Your Time

I thought for this photo I'd try something a little different. It was a longer exposure of 6 seconds which I tend not to do on landscapes.

It's created a different texture to the crops which I kind of like, there was a wind so they were moving.

I would have liked a bit more movement in the clouds.

#MySundayPhoto - Summer Lovin'

When walking around the countryside and the afternoon sunlight catches the meadow of flowers perfectly.

With the bright blue background, it seems like the perfect summer scene. After walking back my eyes were streaming from hayfever, capturing this photo came at a price but it was certainly worth it.

#MySundayPhoto - Hidden Fields

Passing along the same road everyday you miss the whats around you and follow the same route. Just slightly off side of the road hidden by bushes is this field full of crops.

A few metres from the busy road is this glorious and lush field just asking for me to take it's photo.

It's at this time of year when National Trust gardens really come into their own, the flowers, the trees and the wildlife.

Our local garden Sheffield Park is simply stunning, they have the most beautiful waterlilies filling the ponds. Mix this with the wonderful rhododendrons their really isn't a better sight at this time of the year.

#MySundayPhoto - Beautiful Countryside

Blue skies, carpets of green crops growing in the Bank Holiday sun.

Over the long weekend, I went off for a countryside hike with a friend in the hope we'd find something of interest to take photos of. I have a camera to test out for a review and it seemed like the perfect opportunity. I also look a lens ball with me which I might share the photos of in the next few days.

I'm pretty happy with how this one has come out.

#MySundayPhoto - So Quaint

When I posted this photo in a Brighton Facebook group some didn't believe that this was taken in Brighton but it's right in the centre. It's kind of hidden but easy to find.

It looks like a beautiful quaint English village but it's about 5 minutes from the seafront. With the flags fluttering in the breeze and the blossom on the trees it looks perfect.

#MySundayPhoto - Woodland Path

I'm loving seeing the changes in the local woodland. A month back it was brown and lifeless, a couple of weeks ago full of bluebells and now they've gone it's bursting with green.

I particularly like this photo with the path off to the right, the way it leads you into woods.

#MySundayPhoto - Fairytale

There's something about it, may be it's the sunlight or the colours but this feels like something out of a fairytale.

The trees are bursting with fresh leaves, the grass is growing and the birds are chirping.

This is the best time of the year to enjoy the outdoors and fill yourself up with nature.

#MySundayPhoto - Bluebells

There is nothing that sums up this time of year quite like a proper English Woodland filled with bluebells in full bloom.

For me, it's a sign that Spring is in full flow and that Summer is right around the corner.

I do not think I have ever seen anything more beautiful than the bluebell I have been looking at. I know the beauty of our Lord by it.

This was taken using portrait mode on my photo, it's an underused mode as I think people only think it's for photos of people.

#MySundayPhoto - Hidden Woods

The other day I went hunting for bluebells...I found some but that's for another day. Whilst exploring I stumbled across this part of the woods which looked like a walkway into a hidden part of the woods.

At the end of it was an opening to a lake, the weather wasn't great but I will return when the sun comes back out.
