#MySundayPhoto - Brighton West Pier

The other day as it was nice I headed down to Brighton for a work project. While I was there I went down to take a few photos of the West Pier. During the rough Winter a few more parts of it got broken off and I don't think it'll be standing for many more years.

As I love creating things I have also started daily vlogging, the videos aren't the greatest but I enjoy making them and for me that's all that matters. The video below was made on the same day.

Hope everyone has an awesome Mother's Day and thank you to everyone that takes the time to linked up. I look forward to seeing everyone's photos and I'll be commenting over the coming week.

Please have a look at the new Instagram challenge, a weekly thing where I announce a theme each week...the next theme will be announced tomorrow.

Please tag the following accounts Instagram posts (@Photalife) Google+ Posts (+DarrenColeshill) Facebook Posts (Photalife) Tweet me (@Photalife) and even Pin Me (Photalife) and I will then repin, RT, Like or +1.

The awesome people at PhotoBox have joined in and are offering a 60 x 40cm Classic Canvas as a prize each month until the end of year. I will pick a winner at the end of the month.

The winning photo might not be from the person who took the most amazing photo but perhaps it will be a photo that tells a beautiful story, or a photo that brightened up the day.

Again thank you every much and please feel free to add the badge to the post.

A Winter Walk at Sheffield Park

Last weekend when the weather was beautiful Mia and I headed off for a little walk around Sheffield Park. No one else wanted to come with us so we both headed off to our local National Trust property.

The weather was a perfect Winter's Day, the sun was out and it was chilly so we thought this was perfect for a walk around the gardens.

The gardens have these beautiful paths weaving their way through the gorgeous grounds and allowing you to take in the views and admire the ponds too.

Mia seemed to enjoy it ask overtime we came to a pretty area she'd stop and ask if we would take a photo.

Along the paths and around the ponds there are several perfect spots to have a sit down and just admire the view. The photos above and just below were taken while Mia and myself were sat in a little wooden hut. The sun was giving everything a glow and you could be mistaken for thinking it was Summer.

If you've never visited a National Trust property then with Easter approaching it's the perfect time. Lot's of them around the country will be hosting special Easter Egg hunts and they are lots of fun.

#MySundayPhoto - Sheffield Park

As yesterday afternoon was lovely and sunny Mia and myself went off for a little walk around Sheffield Park. The sky was lovely and blue and it felt like a perfect Winter's Day.

This photo was taken over one of the ponds that they have there.

#MySundayPhoto - The Day After

#MySundayPhoto - The Day After

This week it was of course the 5th November and in Lewes that signals the biggest Bonfire Celebration in the UK if not Europe. The days leading up to the event is full of planning and shops getting boarded up. This year between 25,000 and 30,000 people attended and that's not bad for a wet and windy evening. The clean up is amazing and by 8am on the 6th everything is completely cleaned away.

Office For The Day

Office For The Day

Some of you may well know that my office is in the beautiful town of Lewes in East Sussex. It's a town full of history and often so much to see. This is the place that hosts the biggest 5th November celebrations in the UK and also a town with a historic football club.

The other day for part of a photo project I had the pleasure of using the football ground as the backdrop. It felt quite strange to be in there without the crowd and players but it meant I got lots of photos and it went well.

Enjoying the Fresh Air

Enjoying the Fresh Air

Sometimes you forget just how lucky you are. You forget that where you live is beautiful and that there are far worse places in the World to be. Just down the road from us we have a small but beautiful area of woodland  and while Aly was working on her homework (making a cave and iron age house) me and Mia went for a little walk.

#MySundayPhoto - Brighton Pier

This past week I've had a week off and we've visited a few different places. One of our trips was down to Brighton which is only half and hour away but a place we don't visit enough.

While down there we had fish n chips on the pier and while standing there I snapped this photo of the old pier. As you can see it was a little grey there and also the sea was a little bit rough but I like how this one has come out.
