Deep in a Cave - #MySundayPhoto

Deep in a Cave - #MySundayPhoto

This might be a photo that some people like and others not so much. I’ve had mixed reviews of it but I personally like it.

This is a hidden cave and the view from it gives a unique view over a lake with waterlilies on it. As you’d expect the cave was dark and sky bright so to help with this I bracketed three photos together to create this.

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing - #MySundayPhoto

I came across this view whilst walking around a local pond on a hot Summer day. It didn’t jump out at me right away but I was sitting on the edge of the pond and the lower angle made it look all the more appealing.

This isn’t a photo that I’ll make available as a print but it feels like a photo to sum up Summer perfectly.

Lost in the Forest - #MySundayPhoto

I love how small you feel walking in forests, it’s at that point that you realise how small we are.

When you see scenes like this you wonder why we’re cutting so many trees and natural woodlands down, we should be cherishing these places not destroying them.

This was taken at the amazing Bedgebury Pinetum in Kent.

Buxted Park - #MySundayPhoto

The other evening I had a little walk around the local woodlands which leads into the grounds of a hotel which is very popular with weddings.

At the bottom of their grounds is this small pond which when calm offers the most amazing reflections. I was on my way to pick up my youngest so only had my phone with me.

Alone with The West Pier - #MySundayPhoto

I’ve taken so many photos of the West Pier but there are two photos, bucket shots if you will that I want to take. The first one is the West Pier with a completely white beach from the snow, next time it snows I’m heading straight down there.

#MySundayPhoto - My Photos from the Week

I thought I’d try something a little different this year. With #MySundayPhoto ending at the end of 2018 I wanted to keep posting on a Sunday and so I think I’m going to post my photos from the previous week that I’ve shared on Instagram.

My focus this coming year really is on Instagram and growing that. It’s the social media platform that I enjoy the most. Instead of sharing photos everyday what I’m finding works for me is sharing a photo every other day.

#MySundayPhoto - My Top 5 Photos of 2018

As it’s the start of 2019 I thought I’d share My Top 5 Photos of 2018. These aren’t the photos that received the most likes, or the most amazingly technical photos…these are ones that I enjoy.

Photos for me should transform you back to that moment when you took it, and make the person looking at the photo drift away.

#MySundayPhoto - The End

#MySundayPhoto - The End

Whilst it seemed like everyone in Sussex was still in bed I was up exploring.

This was taken the day after Boxing Day, it was a misty start to the day and I was looking forward to getting a few misty scenes.

As I was setting up the sky suddenly came alive, the sun was rising and bringing a burst of colour. It only lasted a matter of minutes, I was in the right place at the right time.
