It’s 2017 and in the past my kit has changed, at the moment I am settled on this set up but as things change I will try to keep this updated.
Most of these things were purchased myself and I have added a link to Amazon for these item. These links are “affiliate links”, this means if you click on it and buy it, I make a small 3% – 8% commission.
Landscape Photography Gear
Nikon D610 – I've used a few different cameras in the past but I'm settled on this, full frame goodness.
Nikon 24-85mm f2.8-4 – I use this lens a lot and I love it, might not be the best of the best but it gets the results I'm after.
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 APO EX DG HSM – A beast of a lens, super sharp and amazing quality.
Slik Pro 400dx Tripod - An old sturdy tripod. It's fairly heavy so not ideal for hiking but it has never let me down.
Calumet Tripod - I am yet to fully give this a go, it's an aluminium allow 4-section tripod.
SRB Filters - I'm not an expert on filters and I'm only just getting started with them. For this reason I didn't want to spend loads of money on them. I use SRB Elite Filter Holder with ND filters, and an Elite Polariser.
Samsonite CityVibe Backpack - I currently love this bag. It stores everything I need on a daily basis. The downside is it doesn't have individual slots for lens.
Osprey Kestrel 38 - This is perfect for long walks or camping out. Holds everything needed and it's not too heavy.
Making my Youtube Videos
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ57 - It's no Canon G7x...but this is ideal for what I need. The sound isn't the best but that can be sorted in post processing.
Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod - I only use this with the Panasonic TZ57, keeps the vlogging camera steady and means I can rest it anywhere.
Rode Smartlav+ Lavalier – I really don't use this enough. I forget I have it too be honest.
Rode VideoMicro Compact – This is the mic I use on my Nikon, only really used when in the studio.
GoPro Hero 5 – I love this camera, yet for some reason I only ever use it to capture B roll.
Adobe Photoshop – I have the subscription for this and use it everyday.
Adobe Lightroom – I use this more than any other piece of software.
Final Cut Pro – I've always used this, I tried Premiere Pro but couldn't get along with it.
Camping SeIf Inflating Sleeping Mat - This is a Mountain Warehouse one, it was cheap but does the trick. Much better than sleeping on the floor.
KingCamp Trek 300 Camping Hiking 3 - 4 Season Mummy Sleeping Bag - Keeps me safe and cosy when out, lightweight and wasn't expensive.
Vango Jazz 400 Tent – Easy to set up, just a little bit. This will get changed for a 2 person tent.
