At the beginning of August we visited Center Parcs for our family holiday. We’ve stayed there before so we’ve sort of done most of the activities so the plan this time was to enjoy it more and recharge our batteries.
If you’d like to read all about our stay you can have a look here - A Family Break At Centre Parcs.
Center Parcs is located deep in Elveden Forest which is simply stunning and allowed me the opportunity to enjoy walks in the woodland before anyone else got up and also walks around the lake after dinner.
I didn’t want to feel like I had to get the best photos and I didn’t take a tripod or filters etc so most of the photos that I took were shot using my phone.
If you’ve ever visited Center Parcs you’ll know that one of the most enjoyable parts of the lodges is that the animals come right up to the patio door. We had 3 children staying with us and they loved all the different animals. In total we had pigeons, followed by ducks, blue tits, a pheasant and then squirrels and their favourite muntjac deers.
This also gave me the chance to take a few wildlife photos which is something I don’t normally do. Personally I love the squirrel one, usually they’d move too quickly but this one was timed perfectly.
As well as the forest area the other main feature of the property is the huge lake. This is one of the focal points, water sports, crazy golf and the tree climbing are all around the lake so it makes for an obvious subject when you stay there for a week.
On one of the evenings my wife and I went out on our own for a meal and afterwards instead of rushing back we went for a walk around the lake and the changing of sunlight added a little more drama to the photos.
I think as I’ve so many photos I’ll write a separate post completely about the woodland photos. I hope you’ve enjoyed these photos.
