This past weekend we had a family wedding to attend in Ashford, Kent and as the had the girls with us we decided to stay at a local Premier Inn instead of driving home late at night. The Ashford North Premier Inn is situated in Hothfield Common which is just outside of main Ashford but is still just 4 miles from the International Eurostar and domestic train station, 10 minutes from the town centre and 15 minutes from Leeds Castle.
Although the hotel is situated on a fairly busy road the hotel and rooms themselves are so quiet even when you have the windows open.
The hotel has roughly 60 rooms and plenty of free parking which is not always the case with other hotels.
As we had the girls with us we'd booked a family room which are all on the lower level which makes things a lot easier especially late at night when everyone is tired. The member of staff on reception was very friendly and helpful and even the girls took to him which is rare as they're usually shy.
As you would expect from the rooms at Premier Inn they are as comfortable as any other hotel we've stayed in. The bed is huge, the pillows perfect and always so so tidy.
The Premier Inn family rooms come with one double bed and two single lower beds. All rooms also have an en-suite bathroom, tea making facilities, a hairdryer and a TV with various channels.
The room we stayed in didn't have air conditioning but they did place a fan in the room but we didn't need it as the room felt quite cool with just the window open but it was a nice touch.
The en-suite bathrooms are always so clean and look as good as new and in this particular Premier Inn it was a pretty good size which is always needed when you have children who need a helping hand when it comes to brushing teeth and getting washed.
During the course of the night the room was very quiet and very rarely could you hear other people which is ideal when you've got sleeping children and don't want them to wake too early.
At this hotel the breakfasts are served in a Beefeater which is about 50 steps from the from of the hotel so don't be put off by this. The breakfasts are not to be missed when you stay at Premier Inn they are amazing. They have a full selection from every cereal you could want to all types of pastries, fruit and they also do cooked food for you. At various Premier Inns they have all the hot food out for you to help yourself but at the Ashford one they cooked to order so it always came out hot.
If you're looking for somewhere to stay for a short break or stop over I would always recommend Premier Inn
