#MySundayPhoto - Swimming Time

This week's #MySundayPhoto has been taken in Lewes and it's of the fresh water lido called Pells Pool. This weekend they opened for the new season which is the UK's oldest fresh water pool and has been open since 1860.

The winning photo might not be from the person who took the most amazing photo but perhaps it will be a photo that tells a beautiful story, or a photo that brightened up the day.

Easter Egg Hunt at Alfriston Clergy House

When Easter rolls around we try and visit a National Trust property to take part in one of their Easter Egg Hunts. Last year we happened to be in Cornwall so we visited Lanhydrock and enjoy a lovely walk around the gardens while looking for Easter bunnies.

This time we decided to visit somewhere we'd never been before which was Alfriston Clergy House and a little fact I'd learnt afterwards which is Alfriston Clergy House was the first building saved by the National Trust in 1896.

The house is set by a beautiful open green which would be perfect for a picnic in the Summer. The Easter egg hunt costs £1.50 per child and on this occasion it was a case of looking around the garden and writing down the names of the bunny rabbits that you find.

The rabbits are dotted around the whole garden so you do actually get to see the whole garden rather than the children running off and you missing the best parts.

At this time of year they had a few things growing but I imagine in a months time the garden will be full of colour and it will be well worth a visit back for us.

Both the girls enjoyed it and they received a Cadbury's Easter bunny at the end which really didn't last that long.

Pretty please would you consider nominating me in the Photo category, many thanks.

#MySundayPhoto - Sheffield Park

As yesterday afternoon was lovely and sunny Mia and myself went off for a little walk around Sheffield Park. The sky was lovely and blue and it felt like a perfect Winter's Day.

This photo was taken over one of the ponds that they have there.

Office For The Day

Some of you may well know that my office is in the beautiful town of Lewes in East Sussex. It's a town full of history and often so much to see. This is the place that hosts the biggest 5th November celebrations in the UK and also a town with a historic football club.

The other day for part of a photo project I had the pleasure of using the football ground as the backdrop. It felt quite strange to be in there without the crowd and players but it meant I got lots of photos and it went well.

#MySundayPhoto - Brighton Pier

This past week I've had a week off and we've visited a few different places. One of our trips was down to Brighton which is only half and hour away but a place we don't visit enough.

While down there we had fish n chips on the pier and while standing there I snapped this photo of the old pier. As you can see it was a little grey there and also the sea was a little bit rough but I like how this one has come out.

How Inviting

Just Down The Road

Despite  living down the road from Sheffield Park it's a place we've never visited as a family. Is there a place local to you that you keep saying you'll visit but never get round to it?

Daily Photo - How Inviting

How inviting and relaxing does this look? The gardens and ponds around Sheffield Park are so beautiful, I imagine lots of people gather inspiration from walking around here. It's a place that we intend on visiting over the Summer months.

Return to the Countryside

The past weekend was spent in London, a place that never seems to stand still. I don't get up to London as much as I would like. There is always something changing in London and more and more things being built.

When staying in London I tend to stay at the same hotel and this year they gave me a room with quite a nice view, a view that involved The Shard, The Gerkin and Canary Wharf.
