You can tell when the weather improves and Spring is on its way by the fact that the girls want to go on a walk in the local woods. Last weekend with the weather warming up a little bit the girls asked if we could have a walk in the woods. It was a little muddy but there were lots of signs of Spring plus it gave me the chance to grab some photographs. As a bonus the girls also let me take a few photos of them...this doesn't normally happen.Read More
Is there anything better to do on a Bank Holiday than getting out in the fresh air and just going to a simple walk? We're very lucky in the fact that about 400 metres from our house is the most wonderful and peaceful woods. This is the first time we've been down there since the bluebells have flowered and that was my reason for heading down there...my hope was that the girls would actually let me take a few photos of them without moaning.
It really was a case of getting them to sit quickly to take the photo and then boom off they ran to enjoy the fresh air. Whilst walking around I did manage to find a little creature who didn't seem to bothered with me taking photos of them.
There appeared to be lots of broken trees from the storms and high winds over the winter so this gave Aly all sorts of fun from collecting various sticks and climbing trees which last year she'd never even dream about doing.
Hopefully we'll get to enjoy the woods a lot more over the coming months.
Only me, I must try and take part more in The Gallery so I have now subscribed so now there is not excuse not to.
My photo for the theme Walks of course features my girls, even though they have little legs they seem to walk everywhere and are such little stars.
